LIE #1:
Money is the root of all evil.
TRUTH
The actual verse says "the LOVE of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). Money itself isn't the enemy — misplaced love and trust in it is. God isn't asking you to reject money; He's asking you to stop worshiping it.
Lie #2
Being wealthy makes it nearly impossible to be right with God
"...it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:23–24
TRUTH
Jesus' words about the camel and the eye of the needle (Matthew 19:24) weren't a condemnation of wealth — they were a response to a man who trusted his riches more than God. The very next verse says what's impossible for man is possible with God. Wealth was never the barrier; misplaced trust is.
Lie #3
Wanting financial success means I'm serving money instead of God.
"No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve both God and money." Matthew 6:24
TRUTH
You cannot serve two masters... you cannot serve God and money" (Matthew 6:24) is about where your loyalty and trust live — not about whether you're allowed to have money. You can steward wealth well and still serve God fully; the question is who you trust when it's on the line.
